Shari Sophia is a Malaysian singer, songwriter, entrepreneur and influencer. On February 2023, Shari Sophia has been offered to collaborate with Hollywood music producer Riley Urick to create a song together with the "electronic dance music" genre and at the same time to sing the single they composed. The music track titled "The Magic Word (I Love You)" was officially released and streamed in major music platforms worldwide on December 13, 2023. Riley Urick is a great music producer who has worked with many popular Hollywood stars including Kanye West, Chris Brown, Lady Gaga, Usher, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez, Meek Millz and Tyga. Riley Urick was also nominated for the 2022 Grammy award as the best R&B album producer for the album "Breezy" with the song "Survive The Night" by Hollywood star Chris Brown. According to Riley Urick, he was attracted by Shari Sophia's uniqueness and versatile voice talent. "Kata Sakti Itu (Aku Cinta Kamu)" Malay version and "The Magic Word (I Love You)" English version is the first debut single song by a singer-songwriter Shari Sophia from Malaysia with the mix of electronic dance music, trap beat, a little bit of oriental melody influence, galactic sound and some of Shari Sophia's adlibs vocal chops in the outro part of the song. The song is composed and produced by Grammy nominated music producer Riley Urick from Hollywood with a combination of remix sound by multi-talented music producer JD Wong (Pop Shuvit) from Malaysia. While the lyrics are written by Shari Sophia, Riley Urick and Meron Mengist. According to Shari Sophia the inspiration behind this song, it was inspired by the stories of her friends who she often see them being trapped in the "crush love" dilemma, so she created this song especially for them so that they are inspired to show themselves and express their feelings of love to the person they like.The music track was officially released and streamed in major music platforms worldwide on December 13, 2023 for English version and on July 30, 2024 for Malay version.

The song "Selamat Tinggal" tells the story of two people who love each other very sincerely and promise to keep loving and faithful to each other and to meet again in heaven. According to Shari Sophia, her inspiration when creating this song revolved around the story of those who believe in true holy love, who remain faithful to their partner until the end of their lives. Shari Sophia dedicated this special song to all the true lovers. Shari Sophia has been approached by Hollywood talent agency

Entrepreneur and singer-songwriter Shari Sophia admits that she has been approached and proposed by a talent agency from Hollywood as well as an invitation to collaborate with recording producer Simon Ellis from the United Kingdom who has worked with many popular international artists including The Spice Girls, Westlife, S Club 7 and Britney Spears. The offer happened when Shari Sophia was living in Los Angeles. But at that time she had to refuse the golden offer because she was not ready to become a singer and venture into the music world. It was only in 2022 that she decided to become a professional music artist and songwriter. According to Shari Sophia, she is still in contact with the Hollywood talent agency and Simon Ellis and is discussing about the offers to Hollywood. However, Shari Sophia plans to start her music career in Malaysia first, before stepping onto the international stage. According to Shari Sophia, she was given the freedom to choose at any time to join and accept the golden offer to go to Hollywood if she ready to spread her wings internationally in the future.

Artistic influence

Shari Sophia growing up in the family that loves music and has musical talent naturally. Her father owned a civil engineering business but also owned a music studio and classical music band as his favourite hobby. Shari Sophia was exposed to music and live performance show since her young age, she also realised about her singing and songwriting talent since she is 13 years old. But she never pursuit her passion in music industry even though she was encouraged by her family and close friends. She loves R&B and pop music genre. Her music style and artistic vibe was influenced by her favourite singers such as Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, Usher, The Spice Girls, Britney Spears, Alicia Keys and Justin Bieber.

Shari Sophia or her original name Sharipah Mohd Tahir is a Malaysian entrepreneur, singer, songwriter and influencer. Shari Sophia was born in Segamat Johor Malaysia and is of Malay, Chinese and Arab descent. She's a muslim, Islam is her religion. Shari Sophia studied in Binary University in Degree in Business Management major. Later she moved to Los Angeles, California for family's petroleum business ventures and to further her education in University of California Los Angeles UCLA in Global Business Management major, and she also studied in Music Business Management from Berklee College of Music and Positive Psychology from Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts United States. She's been living in Los Angeles and Kuala Lumpur alternately.
